T20 World Cup 2022: Sri Lanka vs Ireland – Predicted XI, Pitch & Weather report
Sri Lanka will take on Ireland in the fifteenth match of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 at Bellerive Oval, Hobart on Sunday (October 23).
Both teams have played against each other twice in the T20 World Cups (2009 and 2021), and on both occasions, Sri Lanka registered comprehensive win over Ireland.
Pitch and Weather conditions
The evening games in Hobart are a little more batting-friendly, but the new-ball bowlers will get some movement off the surface. With rain prediction for the day, there could be a stop-start game in the offing.

Captain’s Corner
“I’m not surprised that Ireland came because Ireland was last year playing good cricket and they are getting better and better as a team and even bowling, batting, fielding, all three of the formats they’re doing really well. So I’m not surprised,” said Dasun Shanaka
“We get a chance to play even better teams over the next two weeks. Hopefully we can continue to back ourselves. Even when our backs are against the wall like the other day, we came out fighting and played a certain way, and we won a game, and that’s the way we want this team to play, win or lose,” said Andy Balbirnie.
