IPL 2023: Harmanpreet Kaur and her friends cheer for Mumbai Indians during a run-fest against Punjab Kings in Mohali

Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, was spotted enjoying the Punjab Kings (PBKS) versus Mumbai Indians (MI) IPL 2023 match at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium on May 3. Kaur was seen sitting with her friends and appeared to be having a good time as the two teams battled it out on the field.

This is not the first time Kaur has been seen at an IPL match. She is a regular spectator at IPL games and comes to support her favourite team. Her presence at the stadium was noticed by fans, who were delighted to see the star cricketer enjoying the game.

Earlier this year, Kaur led the Mumbai Indians to victory in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL). She played a crucial role in her team’s success and won the ‘Catch of the Season’ award for pulling off a blinder to dismiss Devika Vaidya.

Kaur is one of the most popular cricketers in the country and has a huge fan following. Her presence at matches is always welcomed by fans, who love to see their favourite cricketer enjoying the game.

Talking about the IPL 2023 match, MI clinched a six-wicket victory over PBKS in Mohali, with Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav leading the way with their impressive half-centuries. Despite losing two early wickets and being faced with a daunting target of 215, Kishan and Suryakumar’s partnership of 116 runs off just 55 balls swung the match in Mumbai’s favor. Kishan scored 75 runs off 41 deliveries while Yadav notched up 66 runs off 31 balls, allowing MI to win with 7 balls remaining.

Earlier in the game, Punjab scored an imposing 214 for 3 in 20 overs, thanks to the 119-run partnership between Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma for the fourth wicket. Livingstone remained unbeaten on 82 off 42 deliveries, while Sharma contributed 49 not out off 27 balls. Piyush Chawla was the standout bowler for MI, taking 2 wickets for 29 runs, with Arshad Khan chipping in with one wicket.
