In Match No. 60 of IPL 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) achieved a resounding victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) by a massive margin of 112 runs.

After posting a competitive total of 171/5 on the board in their stipulated 20 overs, RCB bundled out the Royals for just 59 in 10.3 overs. This total by RR was the third-lowest in the history of the IPL. Only two of their players could reach double digits in terms of runs. Left-handed batter Shimron Hetmyer emerged as the top scorer with 35 runs. During his innings, he struck four sixes and one four, which helped RR surpass the lowest total in IPL history, which stands at 49 runs.

For the unversed, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had bowled out RCB for a paltry total of 49 during the 2017 IPL season.

After the recent match against RR, former RCB captain Virat Kohli hilariously stated that if he had been given the opportunity to bowl during the RR innings, the home team would have been all out for just 40 runs.

In a video uploaded by RCB’s official Twitter handle, featuring RCB players discussing their morale-boosting victory over the Royals, Kohli can be heard saying, “If I had bowled, they would have been all out for 40.”
