Cricketers extend their wishes on Maha Shivratri

The followers of Hinduism are celebrating March 01 as Maha Shivratri across the world in honour of Lord Shiva. The holy occasion is celebrated by Hindus in India and worldwide, with several devotees observing a fast on an auspicious day.

On the special day, the Indian cricket fraternity took to their social media accounts to wish people who are celebrating the festival.

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant wished his fans good luck on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.

“Sending warm wishes on the pious occasion of Mahashivratri. May Lord Shiva shower his blessings on your family and bless you with happiness and glory, prosperity and peace,” tweeted Pant.

Former India batter Suresh Raina took to Twitter to wish all the devotees a happy Maha Shivratri. He wrote: “May Bholenath bless us all with peace & prosperity. Happy Maha Shivratri to everyone. #happymahashivaratri”

Indian Women cricket team captain Mithali Raj expressed her good wishes and hoped Lord Shiva to keep everyone in his blessings.

“May Lord Shiva shower his blessings on you and your family on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. #महाशिवरात्रि”, tweeted Mithali.

Former India cricketer VVS Laxman took to Twitter and wrote: “May Lord Shiva shower upon you all his choicest blessings. May happiness and peace surround you with His eternal love and strength. Wishing you a very Happy #MahaShivratri.”
