WATCH: Quinton de Kock plucks a one-handed stunner to dismiss Carmi le Roux in MLC 2023
The 4th match of the Major Cricket League (MLC) 2023 witnessed a thrilling display of skill and athleticism as Quinton de Kock, the wicketkeeper for the Seattle Orcas, plucked an incredible one-handed catch to dismiss Carmi le Roux of the San Francisco Unicorns.
The match, held at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Sunday, showcased Seattle’s dominance as they triumphed over the Unicorns by 35 runs. In a pivotal moment of the game, the last ball of the 18th over was delivered by Cameron Gannon, who had already claimed four wickets in the match.
Gannon bowled a back-of-a-length delivery that swung away, inducing a thick outside edge from Carmi le Roux‘s bat. The ball flew behind the stumps, seemingly out of reach for most fielders. However, displaying remarkable agility and reflexes, Quinton de Kock dived to his right, extending his arm to clutch the ball in a stunning one-handed catch that left spectators in awe.
