Notably, Virat captained Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their last two matches and has led the side to victory on both occasions. In their most recent clash, the Bangalore-based side defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven runs courtesy of Glenn Maxwell‘s brilliant 77-run knock. Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis also contributed in the win by quickfire 62 runs. On the other hand, Harshal Patel picked three wickets for Bangalore in the contest.
It is noteworthy that RCB are performing well in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 so far and currently sit at the fifth spot of the points table with four wins in seven matches. Speaking of Virat, the India maestro has played all those seven matches for Bangalore and scored 279 runs at an average of 46.50, including four fifties.
Virat will next be seen in action when RCB takes on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, April 26.
