Asia Cup 2022: WATCH: Ravindra Jadeja’s epic reply after Sanjay Manjrekar asks, ‘You’re okay to talk to me?’

In the Group A clash between India and Pakistan, the Rohit Sharma-led side defeated Men in Green by five wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Hardik Pandya played an unbeaten 33-run knock off just 17 balls to help India chase down the target.

Pandya was well supported by Ravindra Jadeja, who also played a knock of 35 runs off 29 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. Jadeja stayed till the final over and formed a match-winning partnership of 52 runs with Hardik for the fifth wicket.

After the game, former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar, who was conducting the post-match interview, came up with a cheeky question for Jadeja. Manjrekar asked Jadeja if the all-rounder was okay to talk to him.

Notably, Manjrekar’s question to Jadeja hinted at an old social media feud between the two. During the 2019 World Cup, Manjrekar had called Jadeja a “bits and pieces” cricketer, and then the left-handed batter had slammed the Mumbaikar on social media, stating: “Still, I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea. @sanjaymanjrekar.”

However, Jadeja, who looked calm after India’s memorable win, came up with an uber-cool reply as he laughed and said he was completely fine to talk to Manjrekar.

Manjrekar asked, “I have got Ravindra Jadeja here with me, first question, you are okay to talk to me, Jaddu, right?”

Jadeja: “Yeah, yeah (laughs). Absolutely!!”

Further speaking about the game, Jadeja said: “We wanted to play till the end, they have a very good bowling attack, their fast bowlers don’t give anything away. I could have finished the game, but Hardik played superbly. He (Pandya) came out, he was very clear in his head and said he was going to play his shots, and I am happy that he stayed till the end.”
