Twitter goes berserk as Avesh Khan becomes the most expensive uncapped buy in IPL history
Avesh Khan, the 25-year-old fast bowler from Indore, became the most expensive uncapped buy in the history of the IPL. The newly added Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) saw off stiff competition from the five times IPL champion Mumbai Indians (MI) to bag the speedster for INR 10 crore.
The fee paid for Avesh has surpassed the previous all-time high of INR 9.25 crore given to an uncapped player when Krishnappa Gowtham was picked by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2021. The base price of Avesh for IPL 2022 auction was INR 20 lakh.
The right-arm pacer was released by Delhi Capitals (DC) after IPL 2021. He finished second in the Purple Cap race last season with 24 wickets in 16 matches.
