Mohammad Siraj imitates Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration

India bowlers put the visitors in the driver’s seat on Day 3 of the first Test against South Africa after a display of tremendous bowling at SuperSports Park in Centurion. The visitors dominated in the proceedings on the third day, packing South Africa for 197 after posting 327 in their first innings.

Indian pacers shared all ten wickets, with Mohammed Shami taking the maximum five wickets. Apart from the 30-year-old, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur bagged a couple of scalps each while Mohammad Siraj picked up one wicket.

Although Siraj got only one wicket in the form of Rassie van der Dussen but his celebration post the wicket captured the maximum eyeballs. The Hyderabadi speedster channelled his inner Cristiano Ronaldo as he broke into the legendary footballer’s celebrations. Siraj brought out the famous SIIIUUUU celebration after dismissing Van der Dussen.

Here is the video:

Siraj’s celebration style quickly went viral on the internet, with even the official Twitter handle of Premier League India sharing their reaction. The Premier League shared a couple of pictures of Siraj’s celebration and wrote: “The 𝗦𝗜𝗜𝗜𝗨𝗨𝗨𝗨 celebration has reached the @BCCI camp in South Africa.”

On Day 3, the hosts were bundled out for 197, giving India a first-innings lead of 130 runs. Senior batter Temba Bavuma top-scored for the Proteas with a half-century, scoring 52 off 103 balls with the help of 10 boundaries, helping the home team to avoid the follow-on.

Apart from Bavuma, wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock played a handy knock of 34, but other batters failed to contribute much. Tailender Kagiso Rabada contributed with 25 before his side got all out.

For India, Shami scripted his name in record books after he took the wicket of Rabada. It was Shami’s 200th Test scalp, and he became only the fifth Indian pacer after Kapil Dev, Venkatesh Prasad, Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma to achieve the feat.
