Watch: Ben Stokes gets ready for the Ashes; smashes balls in the net session
England all-rounder Ben Stokes, who took an infinite break from cricket in July to focus on his mental health and recover from finger surgery, is currently preparing for the five-match Ashes series against Australia.
Stokes is a part of England’s squad for the Ashes and likely to make his comeback after almost five months in the first Test match at the Gabba, starting December 8.
As captain Joe Root and his men are preparing to regain Ashes from Australia, the 30-year-old all-rounder looked in full swing in one of the team’s net practice sessions at the Gabba on Thursday. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) took to Twitter and shared a clip of Stokes hammering the bowlers in the nets.
