In the latest T20I rankings released by International Cricket Council (ICC), Indian opener KL Rahul, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and New Zealand star Martin Guptill have shined in the top 10 list for batters.

Guptill has returned to the top 10 of the T20I Rankings for batters after scoring 70, 31 and 51 in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against India. The right-handed batter has gained three positions to claim the number 10 spot.

Similarly, Rahul also rose to one place on the batters’ chart. The Karnataka star, who made a match-winning 49-ball 65 in the second T20I against Black Caps, has reached the fifth position. Another gainer is Rizwan, who has attained the number four spot thanks to his consistency in the shortest format. In the three-match T20I series in Bangladesh, Rizwan gained one spot after his 39 and 40 in the final two matches.

Newly-appointed India skipper Rohit Sharma has gained two spots to acquire 13th place in the batters rankings. The Mumbaikar showed superb consistency in the three-match leg against New Zealand. Rohit made 159 runs in three matches at an outstanding average of 53.

However, former India T20I skipper Virat Kohli, who missed the New Zealand T20I series, dropped out of the top 10 for batters, falling three positions to number 11. Other gainers in the top 10 are England’s Jos Buttler and South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen, who have climbed one spot each to reach eighth and ninth position, respectively.

Amongst the bowlers’ rankings, Black Caps spinner Mitchell Santner has moved up 10 slots to reach the 13th position, thanks to his four wickets in the series against India. Similarly, Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has progressed five places to 19th with three scalps against New Zealand.

England pacer Chris Jordan has advanced one place to enter in the top 10 rankings for bowlers headed by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga.

Tabraiz Shamsi, Adam Zampa, Adil Rashid and Rashid Khan have retained their positions, along with Josh Hazlewood, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Anrich Nortje and Tim Southee.
