While Moeen Ali (25 runs) played a valiant knock, the asking rate continued to climb, making the chase increasingly difficult. In the end, England fell short by 36 runs, managing only 165/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Leggie Adam Zampa was the pick of the Australian bowlers, claiming two crucial wickets for just 28 runs in his four overs. Pat Cummins (2 wickets) and Mitchell Starc (1 wicket) also chipped in with wickets at crucial junctures, restricting the English batsmen from building any substantial partnerships.

Australia Dominate Group B

This comprehensive victory strengthens Australia’s position at the top of Group B in the T20 World Cup.
