Namibia opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Their decision proved to be a good one, as their bowlers restricted Oman to a modest total of 109 runs in 19.4 overs. The Super Over turned out to be a David Wiese show. After his impressive bowling display earlier, Wiese displayed his all-round talent with the bat as well. He hit 13 not out alongside Gerhard Erasmus (8 not out) off Bilal Khan as Oman were set 22 to win after the highest-scoring over of the contest.
Well, the target, proved a bridge too far for Oman, as Wiese showed all his experience with the ball to concede just 10 runs and dismiss Naseem Khushi.
