From Shane Warne to Stuart Broad: Bowlers with most wickets in Ashes history

The Australian bowlers have dominated the series so far as they occupy four of the top five spots among leading wicket-takers in Ashes history.

1) Shane Warne (Australia)

No other bowler is even close to Legendary Aussie Spinner in terms of Ashes wickets.
Shane Warne claimed 195 wickets in 32 Ashes Tests.

2) Glenn McGrath (Australia)

Glenn McGrath is the only second player to cross the 150-wicket mark in the history of Ashes.
McGrath has 157 wickets to his name in the 30 Ashes Tests he played.

3) Hugh Trumble (Australia)

Hugh Trumble is another Aussie on the list. He bagged 141 scalps in 31 matches.
Trumble’s economy of 2.23 is the lowest among the top five Ashes wicket-takers.

4) Stuart Broad (England)

Stuart Broad is the only English and active cricketer to feature in the list.
Broad has played 35 Ashes Tests and dismissed 131 batters in the series so far.

5) Dennis Lillee (Australia)

Dennis Lillee is fifth on the list with 128 Ashes wickets in just 24 matches.
Although Ian Botham also has the same number of wickets, he played eight more matches than Lillee.
