Twitter reactions: Harry Brook, Ben Duckett shine in England’s dominating win over Pakistan in 3rd T20I
Batting heroics from Harry Brook and Ben Duckett before a fiery bowling spell from speedster Mark Wood helped England thrash Pakistan in the third T20I to take a 2-1 lead in the ongoing 7-match series at National Stadium in Karachi on Friday.
After being asked to bat, the tourists were three wickets down for 82 in 8.3 overs. Before the situation could further worsen for the English side, the newcomers’ Brook and Duckett took charge and bailed England out of trouble.
Both stars notched their maiden T20I half-centuries during a record fourth-wicket stand for England in the format, adding 139 from just 69 deliveries to help the visitors reach 221/3. Brook was the chief destroyer, as he smashed eight fours and five sixes to finish unbeaten on 81 from just 35 balls. Similarly, Duckett also shined with the bat, scoring an undefeated 70 off 42 balls with the help of eight fours and a maximum.
In response, the hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals and only managed to reach 158/8 in their allotted 20 overs, losing the contest by a big margin of 63 runs. Shan Masood top scored with unbeaten 63 off 40 deliveries, but no other batter contributed enough to take Pakistan near the victory.
Pacer Wood frightened Pakistan batters with extreme pace, bagging a three-wicket haul for just 25 runs in his quota of four overs. Adil Rashid also sizzled with the ball, taking a couple of scalps while conceding 32 in 4 overs.

A special night for a special player. Harry Brook looks nailed on for a spot in England’s World Cup middle order after his start to this tour and his ability to manipulate the field makes him a nightmare for opposing captainshttps://t.co/MIb62t5yTj
