Sources suggest that the Delhi-based franchise, looking to bolster their squad and eyeing for an Indian captain due to uncertainty over Rishabh Pant’s participation as a full-time player, initiated discussions with MI regarding a potential trade involving Rohit. The elegant right-hander has been a stalwart for MI and played a pivotal role in their five IPL title victories.
Rohit has been associated with the Mumbai-based franchise since 2011. Under his leadership, MI became the most successful franchise, winning multiple championships.
