Virat Kohli names the historical female figure he would like to take out for dinner
Ahead of the Test series against Australia, former India captain Virat Kohli has answered some interesting questions related to his personal life.
Though Kohli is now regarded as a successful, capable international cricketer, it wasn’t all like this before. In fact, it was only after his first World Cup that he started to take fitness seriously.
In a recent interview with fashion brand ‘Wrogn’, Kohli revealed that up till the age of 24, he literally ate all the junk food in the world, and so for him, it was the weirdest diet he has ever tried.
When quizzed about his planking record, the Delhi-lad replied: “3 and half minutes. I think so.”
Kohli, who is happily married to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and has a three-year-old daughter Vamika, also opened up about a historical female figure he would like to take out for dinner.
“I never got a chance to meet Lataji, So..,” the talismanic batter told the host of the show.
“It would have been amazing to have a conversation and get to know about her life and about her journey a little bit more,” added Kohli.
For the unversed, the ‘Nightingale of India’ Lata Mangeshkar passed away in February last year. She was the voice behind many generations of film actors, yet every song she was given, she dedicated herself to it in the way a newcomer would.
Lataji’s first big hit was the 1949 film Mahal’s Aayega Aanewala, and until the aughts, her dedication towards her craft was the same.
When Kohli got to know about Lataji’s demise, he took to Twitter to pay rich tributes to the Bharat Ratna awardee.
“Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Lata ji. Her melodious songs touched millions of people around the world. Thank you for all the music and the memories. My deepest condolences to the family & the loved ones,” Kohli tweeted back then.
