Pakistan cricket fraternity condemns attack on Imran Khan during a protest march

Pakistan legend and former Prime Minister Imran Khan was shot by a bullet during a protest march in Wazirabad on Thursday. The supporters of Imran’s political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has described the incident as an assassination attempt. He has been injured in his leg after being two-three times.

Asad Umar, a party leader, told reporters: “He [Imran] is being taken to a hospital in Lahore, but he is not seriously wounded. A bullet hit him in the leg.”

Meanwhile, AFP has reported that the person suspected of firing bullets at Imran has been shot dead.

Reacting to the shocking news, Pakistan cricket fraternity condemned the attack on their former Prime Minister and said violence has no place in their peaceful country. From Pakistan captain Babar Azam to swing king Wasim Akram, took to Twitter reacted to the assassination attempt on Imran.
