Sachin, Yuvraj, Raina and Gambhir console Team India after heartbreaking exit at T20 World Cup 2022
World Cup winners – Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh – consoled Team India after their heartbreaking exit from the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
The Rohit Sharma-led side slumped to a 10-wicket defeat against Jos Buttler’s England in the second semifinal at the Adelaide Oval and crashed out of the tournament.
The opening pair of Buttler and Alex Hales stitched an incredible unbeaten partnership of 170 to see England through to the finals, where they will face the 2009 champions Pakistan.
Batting legend Tendulkar took to Twitter and wrote: “A coin has two sides, so does life. If we celebrate our team’s success like our own, then we should be able to take our team’s losses too. In life, they both go hand in hand.”

“Yes we want our team to win each time they step on the field but we’ve got to realise there will be days that don’t go your way! Proud to see the boys perform as a unit thruout the tournament. Time to reflect on how we can improve & comeback stronger,” tweeted the 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj.

“Heartbreaking loss for the team but proud of the boys, and the Bharat Army, for giving it their all! I’m positive we’ll bounce back soon, but first, a well deserved break or vacation and time with the family,” said Raina, the first centurion for India in T20Is.

In the knockout fixture, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya hit crucial half-centuries and helped India recover from a shaky start and post 168/5. Put in to bat, Rohit & Co. made a slow start and lost opener KL Rahul early, but Kohli held the innings together to slam his fourth fifty of the tournament. But it was Pandya’s blazing knock that guided India to a respectable total.
