ICC picks the top 10 best individual performances of T20 World Cup 2022

The super exciting T20 World Cup 2022 was completed on Sunday (November 13), with England lifting the prestigious trophy for the second time. The Jos Buttler-led side defeated Pakistan in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to become only the second team after West Indies to win the World T20 title more than once.

After choosing to bowl first, England restricted Pakistan to a below-par total of 137/8, and a half-century from Ben Stokes led the three lions to title victory. Stokes scored an unbeaten 52 from 49 deliveries, including five fours and a six to take England home.

This year’s edition witnessed some stunning performances from players, with quite a few contests going down to the wire. Following the final match, the International Cricket Council (ICC) picked the 10 best individual performances of the global showpiece event.

These performances include the most-talked-about batting display from Virat Kohli in the nail-biter between India and Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23. Kohli had smashed an unbeaten knock of 82 from 53 deliveries to propel India to a famous victory over their arch-rivals.

ICC has also included Sam Curran‘s phenomenal bowling performance in the summit clash against Pakistan on the list of top individual efforts in the multi-team tournament. Curran had picked up three wickets while conceding only 12 runs in his quota of 4 overs. Curran was named the Player of the Match as well as the Player of the Tournament for his remarkable performances. He finished the tournament as the second-highest wicket-taker (13) after Wanindu Hasaranga (15).
