A shocking incident marred the Celebrity Cricket League match held in Bangladesh as a heated altercation between players escalated into a physical altercation on the field. The brawl, which took place in full view of spectators and television cameras, has left fans and cricketing authorities concerned.

The incident occurred during a match between filmmaker Mustafa Kamal Raj’s team and Dipankar Deepon’s side participating in the Celebrity Cricket League in Dhaka. The precise cause of the altercation was a boundary not given by the match officials.

A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media platforms, showing several players from both teams engaged in the brawl. The chaotic scene saw players shoving, throwing punches, and even grappling with each other, causing a halt in the match.

Security personnel and match officials rushed to the scene to intervene and restore order but failed in their attempt.

The injured individuals have been identified as Shishir Sardar, Raj Ripa, Joy Chaudhry, Atiq Rehman, Sheikh Shuvo and Ashiq Jahid. In her Facebook posts, Raj Ripa stated that she would hold Mustafa Kamal Raj accountable if any damage occurred to her career. She also alleged that members of his team had thrown water bottles at her.

The tournament has been cancelled after these unforeseen circumstances.

Meanwhile, the cricket enthusiasts and fans have expressed their disappointment at the unsportsmanlike behaviour displayed by the celebrities during the match. Many are calling for stricter regulations and better security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
