The final of The Hundred Women’s Competition 2023 witnessed a captivating clash between Southern Brave and Northern Superchargers on Sunday. Southern Brave displayed a terrific performance and won the contest to bag their first-ever Hundred title.

Danielle Wyatt propels Southern Brave to a competitive total

After being asked to bat, the Southern Brave posted a competitive total of 139/6 in their allotted 100 balls. Danielle Wyatt showcased exceptional form with the bat, amassing 59 runs off 38 deliveries, including 9 fours and 1 six.

Wyatt’s partnership with Freya Kemp, who contributed a rapid 31 off 17 balls, bolstered the team’s score. Georgia Adams (27 off 28) also chipped in with a valuable contribution. The Brave’s batting effort was bolstered by a combination of strong strokes and calculated aggression.

Disciplined bowling restrict Superchargers at 105

Lauren Bell emerged as a key figure for the Brave, securing 3 wickets for 21 runs. Chloe Tryon‘s 2 wickets for 28 runs also played a significant role in pegging back the Superchargers.

Despite the best efforts of some Superchargers’ batswomen, the team was ultimately bowled out for 105 runs in 94 balls, handing Southern Brave a 34-run victory.
