Memorable performance by Riyan Parag
Speaking about the match, the Royals, after being asked to bat first, posted a competitive total of 185/5 in their allotted 20 overs. The standout performer in this total was Parag, who delivered an outstanding knock of 85 runs from just 45 deliveries. Parag’s innings was characterized by 7 fours and 6 massive sixes as he remained unbeaten.
Delhi Capitals fall short despite valiant efforts
In reply, Delhi Capitals pushed the game to the final over but fell short by 12 runs. Despite commendable performances from David Warner (49) and Tristan Stubbs (44 not out), Delhi Capitals couldn’t cross the finish line. Burger, who claimed the crucial wicket of Marsh, also dismissed Ricky Bhui for a duck, ending with two wickets. Similarly, veteran spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets, conceding 19 runs in 3 overs for the Royals.
