Babar’s individual brilliance shines despite leadership shift
It’s worth noting that Babar recently relinquished captaincy in all formats following Pakistan’s disappointing ODI World Cup 2023 campaign, where the team fell short of qualifying for the semi-finals. Amidst the leadership shift, it’s imperative to acknowledge the 29-year-old’s individual brilliance on the field. The champion batter showcased his exceptional form recently, particularly in the T20I series against New Zealand. In three out of the five T20Is against the Blackcaps, Babar demonstrated his batting prowess by scoring half-centuries. These consistent performances underline his significance as a linchpin in Pakistan’s batting lineup.
