WATCH – ‘Bas Virat Kohli bacha hai…’: Haris Rauf talks about his bucket list to Babar Azam

Haris Rauf, Babar Azam and Virat Kohli

Since the start of his career, India’s modern-day legend, Virat Kohli, has dominated the world cricket and is regarded as one of the greatest in the history of cricket. The batting maestro has so far amassed 25012 runs in international cricket across formats, including 74 centuries. Due to these high standards set by Virat, every bowler he faces wants to take his wicket, and Pakistan’s Haris Rauf is no exception.

In a video shared by Lahore Qalandars on Twitter, Rauf was heard admitting to Babar Azam that his bucket list includes the wicket of Pakistan skipper and Virat. The 29-year-old right-arm pacer added that New Zealand’s Kane Williamson is the other player he wishes to dismiss.

“No matter what happens. I just need to take your wicket! Only Kohli and you are the exception right now. Williamson was saved from slip twice. But I have these 3-4 players in my mind,” Haris told Babar.

Hearing Rauf’s words, Babar couldn’t control his laughter and replied hilariously.

“But you already got me in practice sessions. Why don’t you consider those?”  said Babar.

In response, Rauf clarified: “No. I need your wicket in the match.”

In the end, Babar concluded the conversation by saying: “God does well with all.”

Notably, the last time Rauf and Virat faced off each other was in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. The 34-year-old right-handed batter in the match scored match-winning 82 runs consisting of six fours and four sixes. In the 19th over of the game, Virat hammered the Pakistani pacer for two consecutive maximums and turned the game in India’s favour.

While Rauf is currently representing Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing Pakistan Super League, Virat will next be seen in action on March 1 when India faces Australia in the third Test of the four-match Border-Gavaskar-Trophy 2023.
