WATCH: Babar Azam gives an epic reply to a reporter’s question on ‘marriage’
The last couple of months have turned out to be a wedding season for the Pakistan cricket team as quite a few essential parts of the side got married recently. The list included the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood and Shadab Khan. Following all these nuptials, many had this question in mind that when will the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam tie the knot? However, now the 28-year-old cricketer has himself given an answer to the query leaving everyone in splits.
Babar is currently leading Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 and has led his team to two wins in four matches so far. The Peshawar-based franchise is on the fourth position in the points table and will next face Lahore Qalandars on Sunday (February 26).
Ahead of the game against Lahore, Babar was asked about when he would get married, as three of his fellow teammates had already tied the knot. The journalist also took a jibe at the Pakistan skipper by saying that his hair are growing white, indicating the latter’s age.
“Saare ladko ki shaadi ho rahi hai, aapke baal safed hote jaa rahe hain. Toh aapka kab hai iraada hai shaadi ka? (Everyone is getting married, your hair have grown whiter. When are you planning to get married?),” asked the reporter.
In response, Babar came up with an epic reply to shut down the journalist and said: “Safed age ki vajah se nahi hai, shuru se hain mere safed. Jab time aayega, ho jaayega. Main bhi wait kar raha hu, aap bhi karein! (The white hair is not because of the age, they are white since childhood! When the time comes, I’ll get married. I’m waiting for it, you also wait),” said Babar.
