Big Bash League announces full schedule for BBL|14; offers window for players after AUS vs IND Test series

The schedule for Big Bash League (BBL) season 14 was announced on Thursday, July 12. The fixtures were meticulously crafted to maximize the chance of seeing Australia’s top Test players grace the BBL stage, albeit for a limited time.

While Australia’s Test squad will be unavailable for the BBL finals due to the Sri Lanka tour, a glimmer of hope shines. The strategically placed gap between the five-match Test series against India, concluding on January 7, and the Sri Lanka tour presents a potential window for Test stars to showcase their talents in the T20 League.

The BBL|14 schedule prioritizes both viewership and player availability. Launching on December 15, the second day of the Brisbane Test, the season culminates on January 27. This structure allows for a possible influx of Test stars towards the latter stages of the regular season, ensuring a thrilling climax for fans.
